This project was delivered in two stages. The first staged involved an extension to the existing IVF, Histology and Staff facilities. Stage 2 involved the demolition of existing facilities to accommodate a new orthopaedic theatre.
The theatre building remained in use throughout the works whilst all demolition works were undertaken out of hours or when no procedures were scheduled.
Daily liaison was required with theatre staff to ensure that the construction works did not impact on the ongoing service being provided to their patients.
Total area of the project was approx 220m2.
This construction project was complex in nature due to the technical requirements of ensuring all required services were uninterrupted throughout the project.
